On Good Friday, I had the pleasure of attending the Hadleigh Friday Market with our Pop Up Shop. Organised by Suffolk Market Events the market is held every Friday in the charming market town of Hadleigh in Suffolk, England.
As I strolled through the market, I was struck by the variety of goods available. There were stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan cheeses, locally brewed beers, homemade jams and preserves, and freshly baked bread and fabulous pies. Next to my stall was the most mouth watering chocolate and cookie goodies from local makers A Bake For The Road and local honey from Lovelands Beeline. The smells of freshly cooked food wafted through the air, tempting me with their delicious scents. Mr Pratt was tempted and came away with a number of delicious and tempting treats for the pending Easter Weekend.
One of the highlights of the market was the handmade crafts on display. There were stalls selling everything from handcrafted baskets, children clothes, bees wax candles and our very own range of essential oil scented candles. The craftsmanship was impressive, and I found myself admiring the intricate details of each piece.
The market also provided an opportunity to support local businesses, with many of the stalls being run by independent traders. It was heartwarming to see the community coming together to support one another and celebrate the town's rich history and culture. It was always heartwarming when someone who comes to our pop up, knows our brand and supports us with another purchase of their favourite fragrance.
Overall, my experience at the Hadleigh Friday Market was a delightful one. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone who finds themselves in the area. It is an excellent way to spend a Friday morning, soaking up the vibrant energy of the market and supporting local businesses. We will be there with our Pop Up shop on Friday 21st April, 12th and 26th May. We very much hope you will be able to pop along and support some very fine local and independent businesses.
